Size: The newly completed 10,000m2 building is in Cape Town’s Richmond Park. The development includes 8,650m2 of vehicle showroom spaces integrated with 1,280m2 of office and customer facilities

Design philosophy:
get\Worth is a successful buyer and seller of certified high-quality cars. In terms of design, the building concept pays homage to the cars housed within, featuring striking angular roofscapes inspired by aerodynamic vehicular forms to evoke a sense of movement and speed. The showroom is divided in two – reminiscent of cars speeding past each other – while the office is divided further, responding to the site and reinforcing the concept through another dimension. Internal lounges frame views of Table Mountain, reconnecting the ideas of man-made designs with the angular forms of nature. This bold and contemporary design creates an immediate landmark within the surroundings without an overbearing presence, welcoming visitors into the new get\Worth headquarters as well as the greater Richmond Park development.

Morgan Cargo, King Air Industria Cape Town

Client: Atterbury Property and Morgan Cargo

Size: The facility comprises a contemporary 1,300m2 head office and a modern 6,000m2 cold storage facility.

Completion: July 2021

Morgan Cargo offers specialised perishable cargo logistics – to get produce from grower to supermarket efficiently on behalf of its clients around the world. The building is used primarily for fresh fruit, fish and flowers with cold storage requirements ranging from zero to 10 degrees Celsius

Take a Lot, Cape Town

Client: Atterbury Property

Project Value: R279 million excl vat

Size: 48 200m² distribution warehouse including 2 300m² of offices

Design philosophy:
Constructed over two phases, with phase 2 (22 700 m²) constructed in 7 months which included a DM1 floor. The interface between the phases a detailed methodology, which allowed Takealot to trade during the process. The project was constructed adjoining an existing community which required that we were cognisant of noise, dust and disturbance.

Truworths, King Air Industria Cape Town

Client: Atterbury Property and Old Mutual Properties

Project Value: R276 million excl vat

Size: 55 000m² distribution warehouse, including 2 100m² of offices

Completion: October 2023

Design philosophy:
The facility was constructed adjoining a natural wetland which required we complied closely with the environmental department. This project was constructed without a lost time injury.
